Let me share with you a neat little tool that I have just stumbled upon that I believe will help increase my sales by big percentages and will do the same for your blog.

Firstly, lets talk about the problem that this little tool solves so you know where I am coming from when I say to you that I believe this tool is really good. Bloggers Must Have Tools: Article Announcer Reviewed

In my last post I wrote that the best way I have found to generate good amounts of traffic to your blog, especially in the early days, is to write quality articles and submit them to article directories. I gave you the formula to write these quality articles and get noticed, but the next problem is the actual submission of these articles to article directories.

Well, its not that this process is hard to do as all article directories now have a web interface that allows you to enter in your article information, keywords, authors bio and resource box with relative ease. There are a lot of factors that affect how the major search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc) rank your site in their search results for your keywords. A tip for bloggers who want to have their site ranked well, especially within Google, is to create a sitemap and then have this uploaded to Google and other major search engines.

Why are sitemaps important? Here is what Google says about it:

I’ve started a new category - things that bloggers shouldn’t do. Here’s the first one..

I recently was on a forum that was accessed mostly by newbies and a few experienced IM’ers. One of the more experienced IM’ers wrote a post telling people that they should always remember to keep resubmitting their sites or blogs over and over again to search engines, and if they didn’t they would lose page rank and fast. The poster quoted a personal experience stating that when they stopped resubmitting to the search engines they lost PR from something like 3 to more than 13 in the space of weeks and then when they started again, their PR shot back up to 3.
