Sub-note: I’m not really sure if this is common question number 8 or not. After number 1, I am just going to guess at everything else.

Ah, this is definitely a controversial question and I’ve seen many different bloggers say conflicting things. I’ve seen all sorts of blogs out there with all different sorts of looks and different levels of popularity, ranking etc. There are blogs that look plain Jane and that just used the standard Wordpress theme that are very highly rated and receive a lot of traffic — see Steve Palina’s Blog as an example of this (although Steve’s updated the look a little bit since he started) and I’ve obviously seen some flashy blogs that aren’t generating much traffic at all. I think if we took a survey of all the bloggers out there in the blogosphere as well as those that are considering becoming a citizen of the blogosphere, what is the number 1 question you had, I’d be surprised if the most common one isn’t “how much money can I make blogging?”. I admit that this was the foremost one in my mind, along with lots of others. So you’ve probably done what I have done already and gone out to the top ranking blogs and tried to find out how much they are making. Hello world. This is the first post of this my new blog.. If you want to know what this blog is all about and a bit about me, where else do you look but that page up there that says “About”.

I’ve been meaning to start this here blog for awhile now but have been busy on my other blogs. I blog about lots of things including scuba diving, real estate investment, how to train your dog, making money online, how to repair stuff and I’m also doing a blog/blog project/blog experiment on Australian Idol (I live in Australia). So this blog is new as of June 28th, 2007, so don’t expect to see a great deal of traffic here until at least the end of 2007, but if its sooner, that’d be nice. [Read more →]
